Our story

Built by a homeowner who needed this.

Trusty Stewards didn't start with a business plan. It started with a problem — one that millions of homeowners share but nobody had solved with any real intention.

The founder

The standard existed. It just hadn't come home yet.

As the owner of a modern home that I share with my wife, my teenage daughter, and my son, I also hold a full-time career, volunteer at our church, participate in a couple of community organizations, and try to be present as a husband and a dad. Like most homeowners in this area, I'm not short on obligations.

Over the years, we've worked with nearly every category of service provider a home requires. Cleaners. Lawncare. Landscapers. Plumbers. HVAC technicians. Pressure washers. Pet sitters. Most of them were good people. Many were reliable. But stewards? None of them.

They noticed things — a slow drain, trim pulling away from the wall, a gutter that shifted after a storm. They almost never said anything. Nobody had built that into the job. Nobody had communicated that noticing and telling the homeowner was part of what they were there to do.

"That kind of attention to detail isn't magic. It doesn't require an unlimited budget. It only requires intention."

Then there were the hotels. The resorts where the room just worked — where someone had clearly thought about every surface, every detail, where things were caught and addressed before you had to ask. Where the standard of care was obvious in every corner, not just the ones you looked at first. I've stayed in places like that and felt genuinely, oddly at ease. That's what a well-tended space does to a person.

That level of care is achievable. I knew it because I'd experienced it. It just requires someone who's intentional about it. And when I looked for that in home care — someone who would tend our house the way a great gardener tends to their garden — I couldn't find it.

So I built it.

What we believe

Human flourishing starts at home.

Trusty Stewards is built on a philosophy we call The Stewards Way. The core idea is simple: a home is a living ecosystem, and when it's tended well, something shifts inside it.

When a home runs well — when things are noticed, maintained, and cared for consistently — the people inside it have more capacity. For presence. For connection. For the things that actually matter. That quiet, restored feeling doesn't stay inside the walls. It travels outward.

The difference between a home that feels that way and one that doesn't isn't the square footage or how recent the renovation was. It's the practice of intention — someone who sees the whole home, notices what it needs, and tends it with care over time.

We call that stewardship. It's the only standard we're interested in.

Our team

A team built with the same intention.

We've built a team of Stewards who share this belief — people who take genuine pride in caring for something that belongs to someone else, who notice what others miss, who communicate as a matter of course, and who understand that a well-run home is one of the most meaningful services you can offer a family.
